We designed and implemented the Mobile Agent system for Hirecheck Inc., one of the premier national providers of employment screening services.

Mobile Agent allows Hirecheck’s nation–wide agents in the field to retrieve their outstanding search orders wirelessly via a cell phone or PDA. Data researched by the agent is entered and wirelessly sent to the main database, using 128–bit encryption, at corporate headquarters instantaneously. Being able to update their corporate database from the field reduces Hirecheck’s turnaround time by up to an hour; eliminating agent travel time. This enables them to expedite the product to their customers, saving them both time and money.

While Mobile Agent runs on over 200 devices, Hirecheck chose Palm’s i705 handheld PDA as their standard issue platform of choice. The i705 offered Hirecheck the best value, in addition to wireless coverage in over 260 metropolitan areas across the U.S. With over 200 devices supported, Hirecheck’s agents were also free to use their existing cell phones, smart phones, or PDA’s.
